Hi there, and Welcome to ScottMalouin.com. My story is short and simple.

My name is Scott Malouin and I’ve been developing web sites for well over 15 years now as a hobby and as a career now for the last 9 years.

As life would have it I lost my job ( that’s a fun story ) and decided it was time for a change. Instead of going out and looking for another 8-5 job I decided to make my own and work for myself becoming a freelance web developer. Focusing on WordPress development and helping others do the same.

I’ve always been fascinated with developing sites and finding ways to make them more user friendly. Using WordPress and its unlimited possibilities at what one can accomplish is just Awesome. Creating websites, customizing WordPress themes, and plugins to me is like art work.

It’s not just about web development either but the freedom that freelancing gives me. Working remotely from my home, near by café, or pretty much anywhere I can get an internet connection. Setting my own hours and being my own boss are just a few of the awesome perks of being a freelance Web Developer.

During my down time I figured I would share what I’ve learned over the years and maybe help inspire others that are considering the freelancing life style which is why I created this site.

For fun I enjoy spending time with my Family. Going to the movies, I’m a huge Marvel fan. Enjoy playing video games, spending time outdoors, and riding our Can-Am Spyders. Most of all keeping life simple!
